UFBA history of establishment and development

The University of Finance and Business Administration (UFBA) was established under Decision No.1320/QD-TTg dated September 18, 2012 of the Prime Minister on the basis of upgrading the College of Finance and Business Administration. UFBA is a public tertiary educational institution directly under the Ministry of Finance.

The College of Finance and Business Administration, a public tertiary educational institution directly under the Ministry of Finance, was established under Decision No.6584/ QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated November 21, 2005 of the Minister of Education and Training on the basis of reorganizing the two colleges under the Ministry of Finance: The College of Fiance and Accounting No.1 and the College of Business Administration.

The College of Fiance and Accounting No.1, which was formerly the School of Finance - Accounting No.1 founded in1965, specializing in training Finance and Accounting staff. In 2003, the school was upgraded to College of Finance and Accounting according to Decision No. 3539/QD-BGD&DT dated July 3, 2003 of the Minister of Education and Training. After 40 years of development and growth, the college has trained hundreds of thousands of Finance and Accounting officers, providing human resources for the Finance sector and society. The college was awarded the Third-class Labor Medal by the President in 1995, the First-class Labor Medal in 2000, and the Third-class Independence Medal in 2005.

The Semi-public College of Business Administration was formerly the Central Pricing School, established in 1967. In 1994, it was renamed the School of Business Administration. In 1996, the School was upgraded to the College of Business Administration under Decision No. 376/QD-TTg dated June 6, 1996 of the Prime Minister. After 38 years of construction and development (including 9 years at college level), the college expanded its training scale and gradually improved its training quality, meeting the demand for economic management human resources for organizations and businesses in the economy. The college was awarded the Third-class Labor Medal by the President in 1997 and the First-class Labor Medal in 2002.
