Celebration of the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982–20/11/2025)
In the jubilant atmosphere nationwide celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20, UFBA solemnly held the Ceremony commemorating the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982–20/11/2025). The event aimed to honour the glorious tradition of educators and express profound gratitude to generations of teachers who have devoted their efforts and intellect to the noble cause of education.

Attending the solemn ceremony, from the Ministry of Finance were Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Trường – Deputy Director of the Personnel Department (Ministry of Finance); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lưu Đức Tuyên – Deputy Director of the Department of Accounting and Auditing Regulation and Supervision; Mr. Trịnh Văn Diễn – former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Hưng Yên Province, Member of the University Council; Mr. Đinh Hồng Quyên – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Như Quỳnh Commune; representatives of corporations, enterprises, banks; representatives of the Executive Committee of the Central Pricing Council; and alumni of various cohorts of the University.
From the University, attendees included Dr. Lê Tuấn Hiệp – Acting Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of UFBA Council; Dr. Nguyễn Thị Bích Điệp – Acting Vice President; Dr. Đào Văn Tú – Vice President; former Rectors, Vice Rectors, and former Chairpersons of the University Council; Members of the Party Committee, University Council, Board of Management, Executive Committee of the Trade Union, Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Student Association; Heads of Faculties, Offices, Departments, and Centers; along with a large number of lecturers, staff, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11, Minister of Finance Nguyễn Văn Thắng sent a congratulatory letter and floral greetings to generations of lecturers, staff, and students of the University. Authorized by the Minister, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Trường – Deputy Director of the Personnel Department (Ministry of Finance) delivered the Minister’s congratulatory letter.
In the letter, the Minister expressed deep respect and sincere gratitude to the educators of the Finance sector – those who have made significant contributions to developing high-quality human resources for the Ministry of Finance in particular and the Finance sector in general.
The Minister expressed firm belief that, with a tradition of solidarity, respect for teachers, intellectual capacity, and dedication, the teaching and administrative staff of educational institutions under the Ministry of Finance would continue to excel in fulfilling their assigned missions, contributing to the overall development of the Finance sector and society, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new era.

At the Ceremony, Dr. Lê Tuấn Hiệp – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of UFBA Council – delivered a speech reflecting on the tradition and significance of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11. On behalf of the Party Committee, University Council, and Board of Management, he extended the deepest gratitude to generations of teachers who have contributed to building the prestige and brand of the University of Finance and Business Administration over the past 60 years. He expressed hope that lecturers would continue to devote their Mind – Heart – Strength to the cause of education and training, striving together and nurturing confidence in the University’s bright future.

Also on this occasion, UFBA announced and presented the “Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit” to 12 lecturers and staff for their achievements from 2019 to 2024, contributing to national development and the defense of the Fatherland.

To honour UFBA former leaders who made significant contributions to its educational mission, the University also presented gifts of gratitude to former University leaders across various periods, acknowledging their invaluable dedication over the past 60 years.

At the Ceremony, Dr. Bùi Văn Can – Former Rector, representing former leaders of the University – expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm sentiments extended by the University. He emphasized that such recognition serves as great encouragement to the former leaders, motivating them to continue maintaining good health and contributing their experience and intellect to society and to the University’s development. He also expressed joy at the significant progress and achievements made by the University in 2025. On behalf of former leaders, Dr. Bùi Văn Can conveyed his best wishes for the University’s continued growth and rising stature.

In a solemn and warm atmosphere, student Nguyễn An Túc Linh from Class TM11A, representing the University’s students and trainees, delivered heartfelt thanks to the lecturers and educational administrators. She pledged to study diligently, cultivate personal virtues, and strive to become a useful citizen, offering this as the most meaningful gift to teachers—the ones who steer the ship of knowledge.
