Conference on the 2025 Annual Review of the BEST Project

On the morning of November 14, 2025, at Meeting Room B – Nhu Quynh Campus, UFBA held the Conference to review activities of the BEST Project in 2025. Attending the Conference were Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – Acting Vice President, chairing the conference; Dr. Dao Van Tu – Vice President; Representatives of leaders of Offices, Departments, Faculties, Centers; Members of the BEST Project Management Board; and members of missions participating in BEST Project training programs.

Conference overview

The Conference aimed to assess the progress and implementation of activities under the BEST Project; and to discuss orientations for disseminating and spreading the outcomes of the training programs. The BEST Project is an international cooperation initiative within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program under the European Commission, funding capacity-building projects with participating partners being universities and research institutions from Asia-Pacific countries. The Project aims to modernize, strengthen capacity, and improve the quality of higher education institutions. Its activities focus on organizational internationalization, academic and curriculum development, enhancement of teaching and research capacity of lecturers, international student and staff exchange, partnership development and networking, especially the integration of technology into international cooperation activities. The Project duration is 36 months, from November 2024 to October 31, 2027.

       At the beginning of the Conference, the representative of the delegation attending the BEST Project training course presented the mission report. Accordingly, the delegation participating in activities in Rome (Italy) and Brussels (Belgium) in June 2025 attended the Exchange Program at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy), joining a series of practical training workshops and professional seminars; and attended the program in Brussels (Belgium) organized at the IHF Office, focusing on practical implementation and development of international partnerships.

The delegation participating in October 2025 attended the Training Course and Annual Review Meeting of the BEST Project at the University of Piraeus (Greece). Within the framework of BEST activities, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – UFBA Acting Vice President – signed Memoranda of Understanding with two Cambodian institutions: Angkor University and the Asia Cambodia Polytechnic Institute, marking an important milestone in the University’s internationalization strategy as well as fulfilling key tasks of the BEST Project in which the University is actively taking part.

Following this, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hiep – Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation – reported on international cooperation activities of the University of Finance – Marketing and Business Administration during 2021–2025. The report emphasized that the University has always attached great importance to international cooperation in general and international cooperation in training and scientific research in particular, viewing it as a key activity contributing to enhancing the University’s reputation, quality, and standing. Participation in the BEST Project marks a successful step in the University’s international cooperation efforts, enabling connections with advanced institutions worldwide and strengthening its internationalization strategy.

In her concluding remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – Acting Vice Rector and Chair of the Conference – highly appreciated the results achieved by the delegations participating in the BEST Project training courses. She directed continued implementation of project activities and completion of assigned tasks under the BEST Project; active dissemination and promotion of project outcomes; persistent efforts to realize MoU commitments with Angkor University and the Asia Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia; and enhancement of capacity, expansion, and diversification of international cooperation activities to contribute to strengthening the University’s position.
