Do Van Luong, Nguyen Van The

Supporting industries play an important role in providing products and services to support key industries such as automobiles, electronics, and textiles. However, with the development of the fourth industrial revolution, this industry is facing major challenges in technological innovation, automation, and digital connectivity. East Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan have succeeded in developing supporting industries thanks to a strategy of cooperation between large and small enterprises, heavy investment in research and development (R&D), and building a rapid industrialization model. Vietnam has potential but faces difficulties in developing supporting industries due to lack of capital, technology, and high-quality human resources.
