2024 Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Contest

On the morning of May 10, 2024, UFBA held the final round of the "2024 Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition." This "playground" was created for students passionate about entrepreneurship, organized by the University and attracting many students with a total of 23 innovative ideas, projects, and products. Following intense preliminary rounds, the six best projects advanced to the finals. The competition aims to encourage entrepreneurial spirit and equip students with essential knowledge and skills during their studies. It provides an environment and mechanism that fosters creativity, allowing students to develop and bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life. The University of Finance and Business Administration remains a steadfast supporter of student-led entrepreneurial and innovative initiatives across campus.

In his remarks at the competition, Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Party Secretary, and the University's President, expressed joy at witnessing the students’ dedication and effort in their journey. He extended his gratitude to the faculty advisors for their continuous support and guidance, helping students shape their entrepreneurial ideas. The competition serves as a vital motivation, fueling students' passion for practical and effective research, enhancing training quality and scientific research, and preparing them to integrate, accumulate knowledge, and confidently embark on their career paths in the 4.0 era. Dr. Nghia also congratulated the six outstanding projects that reached the final round.

During the final, the six groups presented their startup ideas and defended them before a judging panel composed of prominent experts in innovation and entrepreneurship. The projects demonstrated diversity, practical relevance, and an alignment with community needs, showcasing:

• Diversity and Practicality: Addressing essential community needs.
• Creativity and Efficiency: Utilizing 4.0 technology solutions.
• Potential and Feasibility: Offering promising, viable pathways to success.

Final Results

• First Place: "Green Sprout" (recycled wood) from class QT10A.
• Second Place: Projects from TM10A (eco-friendly leaf-based products) and QM10A (Dan Tam Herbal Tea).
• Third Place: Awarded to TM10A (ginger essential oil for hair growth), KD10E (mini-apartment homestay), and QM10A (Lucky herbal sachets).

The 2024 Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition successfully concluded, but it marks the beginning of a new journey for these projects as they advance toward market readiness. The competition, widely recognized as an outstanding initiative by the University of Finance and Business Administration, aligns with current entrepreneurial trends and inspires creativity within the student body, symbolizing the University’s commitment to fostering a spirit of innovation among its young students.
