2024 Student Scientific Research and Technology Conference
Following the implementation of Plan No. 649/KH-ĐHTCQTKD, on October 16, 2024, UFBA successfully organized the 2024 Student Scientific Research and Technology Conference at Meeting Room B.
The conference was honored to welcome:
- Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – UFBA Party Secretary and President;
- Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – UFBA Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the University Council;
- Members of the University Board of Management, representatives of various departments, and faculty members guiding student research projects;
- Student project leaders participating in scientific research and technology in 2024.

In his opening remarks, Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the crucial role of scientific research and technology in enhancing education quality, elevating the university’s reputation, and fostering academic excellence. He commended the students and faculty members for their dedication and acknowledged scientific research as a vital component in developing critical thinking and practical application of knowledge.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Hiep, Head of the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation, presented a comprehensive report on student research activities during the 2020-2024 period, highlighting key achievements:
An annual average of 14-15 research projects successfully completed.
Research topics primarily focused on:
Accounting – Auditing: 5 - 7 projects per year
Finance – Banking: 3 projects per year
Business Administration: 3 - 4 projects per year
In 2024, a total of 17 student research projects were initiated, with 15 successfully evaluated, engaging over 60 students in research activities.
Alongside scientific research, he emphasized the university’s inaugural Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition, featuring 23 teams participating in the preliminary round, 10 teams advancing to the final round and 4 teams representing the university at the Hưng Yên Provincial Startup and Innovation Competition, where they achieved Outstanding Team Awards.

The conference also outlined key strategies to improve the quality of student research, including Facilitating student access to industry experts and enterprises for practical research experience, Expanding research topics to align with real-world industry demands, and Enhancing awareness and promotion of scientific research, encouraging students to engage from their freshman and sophomore years.
The Student Scientific Research and Technology Conference 2024 concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in fostering research culture at UFBA. With the university’s commitment to academic excellence and students’ enthusiasm for innovation, scientific research activities are expected to continue flourishing in the coming years.
