Celebration of the 94th Anniversary of the Founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025)
On the afternoon of March 26, 2025, the Executive Committee of UFBA Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025).

Attending the event were Distinguished Teacher Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Secretary of the Party Committee, UFBA President; Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of UFBA Council; members of the University Board of Management, leaders of faculties, departments and centers; former leaders of the Youth Union across different periods; representatives from partner Youth Unions; along with a large number of lecturers and Youth Union members of the University.

Opening the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung – Secretary of the University Youth Union, delivered a keynote speech reviewing the 94-year glorious history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. For nearly a century, under the pioneering banner of the Union, generations of Vietnamese youth have upheld patriotic traditions, the indomitable spirit of the nation, never afraid of hardship or sacrifice, always ready to dedicate themselves, and take the lead in all fields. They have made great contributions to the cause of national liberation, reunification, as well as national renewal, construction, and defence. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has successfully fulfilled the glorious mission entrusted by the Party and the State, truly becoming a revolutionary organization of young communists, a reliable reserve force of the Party, and a representative body caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese youth.
At the University of Finance and Business Administration, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has promoted this tradition through continuous learning, political training, and active engagement in movements such as cultural and artistic activities, sports, voluntary blood donation, “Five-Good Student” campaign, “Gratitude” programs, studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, and community volunteerism. Many of these efforts have earned the Union prestigious awards from the Central Youth Union, the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee, and Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union. These achievements have inspired students to live with ideals, ambitions, and determination to strive for success, thereby continuing the glorious legacy of the Union and building the image of students of the University of Finance and Business Administration as talented, elegant, and capable young people in the era of integration and development.

On behalf of the university leadership, Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of UFBA Council – congratulated the University Youth Union and commended the efforts and contributions of generations of Youth Union officials and members. He also urged the Executive Committee to further devote wisdom and dedication to advancing Youth Union work and student movements, worthy of a university-level Union organization, and to strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 21st Congress of the University Youth Union. In particular, he emphasized the importance of innovating educational activities, nurturing noble ideals among students, fostering aspirations for knowledge, dedication, and community service. He also highlighted the need for diverse programs equipping students with life skills, soft skills, practical knowledge, and proficiency in foreign languages and IT, contributing to the University’s mission of Humanity - Expertise – Community Devotion and the goal of building a Quality – Professionalism – Modernism University of Finance and Business Administration.

At the ceremony, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded the “For the Young Generation” medal to Mr. Do Van Luong – Chairman of the University Trade Union, Head of the Personnel Department, and Mr. Nguyen Quyet – Deputy Head of the Facilities Management Department.

The University Youth Union’s Standing Committee also presented certificates of merit and flowers to honor 94 outstanding Youth Union members who had made excellent contributions to Youth Union work and student movements in the 2024–2025 academic year. These were students with notable achievements in both study and extracurricular activities.

Following the celebration, Distinguished Teacher Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Secretary of the Party Committee, UFBA President; Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of UFBA Council; together with delegates attended the inauguration of the University’s 2025 Youth Project, encouraged and cheered the final matches, and presented awards at the “Football and Badminton Tournament for Students of the University of Finance and Business Administration 2025.”
