Conference on the Announcement of the University Council’s Personnel Decision

On July 8, 2025, with the approval of the Ministry of Finance, UFBA held a Conference to announce the University Council’s personnel decision. The event marked an important milestone for the University amid the ongoing restructuring of training institutions under the Ministry of Finance, and the transition of leadership responsibilities from Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – former Party Secretary and former UFBA President, to Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, UFBA Vice President.

The conference was attended by Mr. Trinh Van Dien – former Party Secretary of Van Lam District, former Director of Hung Yen Department of Planning and Investment, and member of the University Council. From UFBA, participants included Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – former Party Secretary and former UFBA President; Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of UFBA Council; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – Standing Committee Member, UFBA Vice President; along with members of the Party Committee, University Council, Board of Rectors, and leaders of faculties, departments, centers, and unions.

At the conference, Mr. Vu Van Hoang – Head of Administrative Department and Secretary of UFBA Council, announced the Council’s Resolution assigning Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep to take charge of UFBA’s operations, succeeding Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, whose tenure as UFBA President had concluded.

In his speech, Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of UFBA Council, highlighted UFBA’s remarkable achievements over the decades, particularly since its elevation to university status: the First-Class Independence Order (2019), the Certificate of Institutional Accreditation (2022), the Party Committee’s recognition as an outstanding unit for 10 consecutive years (2023), among many prestigious awards. These accomplishments, he noted, were closely tied to the leadership of Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, who devoted 27 years to management at UFBA and was widely respected for his professional expertise, integrity, and dedication. Dr. Nghia himself had been honored with the title of Distinguished Teacher, Second and Third-Class Labor Orders, National Emulation Soldier, the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit, and other distinguished awards.

Dr. Hiep also extended congratulations to Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep on being entrusted with the responsibility of managing UFBA, expressing confidence in her leadership during this transitional period as the Ministry of Finance continues its restructuring of training institutions.

In his emotional address, Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed heartfelt gratitude to former leaders, colleagues, staff, and students for their unwavering support and contribution to UFBA’s growth and reputation. He also extended congratulations and trust to Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep, expressing his belief that she, together with the University’s leadership team, would steer UFBA toward continued success and prepare firmly for the next phase of development.

In her remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep expressed deep appreciation to Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia and generations of UFBA leaders for their trust in assigning her this important responsibility. She affirmed her determination to join hands with the leadership team to carry forward UFBA’s “glorious tradition” of 60 years, pledging collective solidarity to achieve future goals, sustain past achievements, and strengthen the University’s position. She also conveyed best wishes to Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia and expressed hope that with his vast 27-year leadership experience, he would continue contributing to UFBA in management, teaching, and research roles.
