International Scientific Conference on "Finance and Accounting for the Promotion of Sustainable Development in the Private sector"

On the afternoon of November 15, UFBA in collaboration with Academy of Finance, University of Finance – Marketing, and the Institute of Financial Strategy and Policy under the Ministry of Finance, organized the 6th International Scientific Conference with the theme: "Finance and Accounting for the Promotion of Sustainable Development in the Private sector". The conference was held in both in-person and online formats.

In-person participants included Asso. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung – Director of the Academy of Finance, Dr. Nguyen Van Binh – Chairman of the Academy of Finance Council, Ass0. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu – Deputy Director of the Academy of Finance, Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – UFBA President, Dr. Dao Van TuUFBA Vice President, Dr. Cao Tan Huy – Vice President of the University of Finance - Marketing, Dr. Nguyen Nhu Quynh – Head of the Institute of Financial Strategy and Policy, Ministry of Finance. Additionally, attending the conference there were representatives from international organizations such as the Association of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, Plaksha University (India), the University of Western Australia, the Australian Catholic University, and Australian CPA, along with scientists, experts, and business leaders.

The conference served as a platform for scientists, managers, and business leaders from both domestic and international backgrounds to exchange and share information on economics, finance, and accounting. The Organizing Committee received over 130 submissions and selected 120 high-quality papers for inclusion in the conference proceedings. These research papers showcased a high level of scientific rigor and demonstrated diverse approaches to fostering the rapid and sustainable growth of the private economy.

     The conference was divided into two sessions: "Finance and Economics: Driving Sustainable Development in the Private Economic Sector" and "Accounting and Management: Promoting Sustainable Development in the Private Economic Sector". Each session focused on in-depth discussions of topics related to the promotion of private economic development, including

  • Emerging models such as the sharing economy, digital economy, nighttime economy, and circular economy, and their impact on private sector growth.
  • The current status, role, and contributions of the private economy to Vietnam's economic growth.
  • The challenges and opportunities for the private economy in the new context.
  • Perspectives and understandings of the private economy's importance.
  • Financial and accounting policies to support private sector development.
  • Other issues relevant to the growth and sustainability of the private economy.

These discussions aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the private sector's development, highlighting its crucial role in Vietnam's economic landscape and proposing actionable strategies for sustainable growth.
