National Scientific Conference 2024: "Green Finance for Sustainable Economic Development in Vietnam"
Green finance plays an essential role in helping countries achieve their sustainable development goals. It offers numerous benefits to individuals and businesses, such as promoting the adoption of eco-friendly technologies and infrastructure development, creating comparative advantages, and enhancing economic prospects. To accelerate the journey toward greening the economy, green finance is an important method that nations worldwide are prioritizing. In Vietnam, green finance is a necessary approach for implementing the green growth strategy, sustainable development, and climate change adaptation. Initial positive results have already been achieved, but the process of developing green finance also presents some challenges and limitations that need to be addressed through integrated solutions.
Recognizing the importance of green finance for sustainable economic development, on September 26, 2024, UFBA organized the National Scientific Conference 2024 with the theme: "Green Finance for Sustainable Economic Development in Vietnam." The conference served as a forum for scientists, economic managers, and businesses to exchange and discuss issues related to green finance and sustainable economic development. The event aimed to provide scientific and practical arguments, as well as solutions and recommendations for government agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals on how to improve and apply mechanisms and policies to promote green finance in alignment with sustainable economic growth in Vietnam.
The conference also provided an opportunity for scientists, faculty members, and students at the university to engage with theoretical and practical issues surrounding green finance and its role in sustainable economic development in Vietnam. This aligns with the university's goal of connecting theory and practice in its training objectives.
