National Scientific Conference on “Digital Transformation in Vietnamese Enterprises: Theoretical and Practical Issues”

The National Scientific Conference on “Digital Transformation in Vietnamese Enterprises: Theoretical and Practical Issues” was held on the morning of August 25, 2023, at UFBA.

In the current context of deep international integration, digital transformation is viewed as an inevitable trend and a critical issue for countries, organizations, businesses, and individuals worldwide. The recent developments of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the COVID-19 pandemic have underscored the significant impact of digital transformation on socio-economic activities in general, and on the operations of organizations and businesses in particular. In the economic field, digital transformation plays a role in building an independent, self-reliant economy closely linked to proactive and effective international integration. With the aim of creating a forum for academic exchange and knowledge sharing among domestic scholars on digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises, the University of Finance and Business Administration organized this national scientific conference under the theme: “Digital Transformation in Vietnamese Enterprises: Theoretical and Practical Issues.”

The conference served as a platform for researchers, policymakers, and domestic enterprises to exchange, discuss, and assess the state of digital transformation in enterprises globally and in Vietnam, to explore the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation, and to share experiences and new research findings in digital transformation within enterprises as this process unfolds across all areas of society and business.

The conference was chaired by:

The conference attracted a wide range of participants, including scientists, experts, and business managers from institutions such UFBA, the National Economics University, the Academy of Finance, Yersin University of Da Lat, the Development Strategy Institute of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Institute of Social and Economic Technology, the University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City, and numerous other prominent universities and institutions. The organizing committee received 85 papers, selecting and editing 51 high-quality papers to be published in the 2023 national conference proceedings. Some notable papers were presented and discussed during the conference, with most discussions focusing on key topics such as:

  • Digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises.
  • Theoretical and practical issues, including theoretical models, influencing factors, and the challenges of digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises in the current global and domestic economic context.
  • The current state of digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises.
  • Government policies and guidelines on digital transformation in enterprises.
  • Solutions to promote digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises.
  • Other related topics on digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises.

The conference also proposed recommendations and comprehensive solutions to enhance digital transformation in Vietnamese enterprises.
