The 21st Congress of the UFBA Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Term 2024–2027
On October 11–12, 2024, UFBA Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union solemnly held its 21st Congress for the 2024–2027 term. This was a significant political event for the university’s youth, with the participation of 130 official delegates—outstanding and exemplary union members representing nearly 4,000 union members and students across the university.

The Congress was honored to welcome and receive guidance from Mr. Dang Ngoc Dong – Deputy Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Hung Yen Province, Mr. Vuong Nhu Hoan – Deputy Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Hung Yen Province, and representatives from the Standing Committee and specialized committees of the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union. Representatives from UFBA included Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – UFBA Party Secretary and President, Mr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the University Council, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – UFBA Vice President, Mr. Dao Van Tu – UFBA Vice President, Mr. Do Van Luong – Chairman of the University Trade Union, Leaders from various university departments, and Former Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the University Youth Union from previous terms. The congress was also honored to welcome Secretaries and representatives from the Standing Committees of Youth Unions at district and commune levels, and Delegates from affiliated units, universities, and colleges in Hung Yen Province.

The Congress reviewed and evaluated the achievements and challenges of the Youth Union and student movement during the 2022–2024 term. The report highlighted key successes in youth engagement, volunteer activities, academic support, and leadership development while also identifying areas for improvement. Building on these accomplishments, the Congress outlined the strategic direction and key tasks for the 2024–2027 term.

The Congress also elected 21 members to the Executive Committee of the University Youth Union for the 2024–2027 term. At the first session, under the supervision of the Hưng Yên Provincial Youth Union and the University Party Committee, the Executive Committee elected the key leadership positions, including: Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung as Secretary, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Yen as Deputy Secretary, 07 members of the Standing Committee, and 05 members of the Youth Union's Inspection Committee.

In his directive speech, Mr. Dang Ngoc Dong highly praised the university’s Youth Union for its outstanding accomplishments during the 2022–2024 term, particularly in community volunteer work and student entrepreneurship initiatives. He expressed his hope that in the 2024–2027 term, the Youth Union would continue to foster new opportunities for students to develop essential skills, cultivate leadership, and actively contribute to the Party's recruitment efforts.

Similarly, Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged the impressive results achieved during the 2022–2024 term, with 9 out of 11 targets met or exceeded. These achievements have significantly contributed to creating a dynamic academic environment, strengthening university-industry-student connections, and enhancing the university's reputation. Moving forward, he urged the Youth Union to build on its successes, address existing challenges, and introduce innovative programs tailored to students' needs. These initiatives should focus on equipping students with essential life skills, self-employment abilities, foreign language proficiency, and digital literacy. He also emphasized the importance of organizing academic conferences, startup incubator programs, and networking events with students from other universities to further develop the university’s brand.

To honor exceptional achievements during the past term, the Congress awarded: Certificates of Merit from the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union to two outstanding collectives and three individuals for their contributions to youth movements and Commendations from the University to seven individuals for their exemplary performance in Youth Union activities.

With the slogan "ASPIRATION – PIONEERING – SOLIDARITY – COURAGE – CREATIVITY," the 21st Congress reaffirmed the determination and commitment of the university’s young generation. The success of the Congress sets the foundation for an innovative and effective new term, ensuring that the Youth Union continues to thrive and contribute to the overall development of the university and the finance sector in the years ahead.
