The 25th UFBA Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 Term

With the approval of the UFBA Party Committee and the Education and Training Trade Union of Hung Yen, the 25th Congress of the University’s Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term took place on the morning of April 1, 2023, in an atmosphere of democracy and solidarity.

This congress was a significant political event for the university’s staff and union members. It was held as the university continued to promote the "Study and Follow Ho Chi Minh's Ideology, Morality, and Style" campaign, emphasizing innovation and creativity in teaching and learning, and marking the upcoming 24th Congress of the Education and Training Trade Union of Hung Yen for the 2023-2028 term.

The congress focused on several key objectives including discussing and approving the summary report on the implementation of the Resolution of the 24th Congress of the University’s Trade Union, defining the orientations and tasks for the Trade Union’s 2023-2028 term, selecting members for the Executive Committee for the new term, electing delegates for the Hung Yen Education and Training Trade Union Congress and reviewing and adopting the congress resolution.

The report presented at the congress highlighted that in the past term, the university’s Trade Union effectively fulfilled its role of representing and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees by closely collaborating with the administration to enforce democratic regulations, internal spending policies, and labor rights.

The congress received guidance from Mr. Tran Dac Vien, Chairman of the Hung Yen Education and Training Trade Union, and Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Party Secretary and President of the University. The leaders expressed confidence that the new Executive Committee would demonstrate leadership and intelligence in guiding union and worker activities, meeting the expectations of the Party Committee, the University Council, and the upper-level Trade Union, thereby contributing to the university’s sustained development and success.

The congress democratically elected 13 members with the requisite qualifications, competencies, and sense of responsibility to the new Executive Committee, and selected 3 delegates to attend the Hưng Yên Education and Training Trade Union Congress.
