The 26th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Finance and Business Administration, Term 2025–2030

On June 6, 2025, the Party Committee of the University of Finance and Business Administration (UFBA) solemnly held the 26th Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term. This was an important political event, embodying the spirit of unity, innovation, and development of all Party members, aimed at reviewing the results of the 2020–2025 term and setting forth directions, goals, and tasks for the new term.

Attending and directing the Congress were: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Standing Deputy Secretary of Van Lam District Party Committee; Mr. Ton Ngoc Chuan – Member of the Standing Committee of District Party Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Van Lam District; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hao – Member of District Party Committee in charge of UFBA Party Committee, Head of Van Lam District Department of Education and Training; and representatives from the district’s Party-building agencies.

On behalf of the UFBA Party Committee were: Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Party Secretary, UFBA President; Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of UFBA Council; Mr. Do Duc Minh – Former Chairman of UFBA Council; members of the Party Committee, the University Council, the Board of Management; secretaries of party cells, unit heads, union leaders, together with 173 official delegates representing 288 Party members across the University.

In his opening remarks, Distinguished Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Party Secretary, UFBA President, emphasized:

“This Congress is an opportunity for the entire Party Committee to look back on the past journey, to promote traditions of unity and creativity, and to set strategic directions suitable for the new stage of development.”

After adopting the agenda and regulations, the Congress reviewed the delegates’ credentials. Out of 173 delegates, there were: 118 female (68.21%) and 55 male (31.79%); 18 with doctoral degrees (10.40%), 134 with master’s degrees (77.46%), 18 with bachelor’s degrees (10.41%), and 3 with college/intermediate qualifications (1.73%). Regarding political theory levels: 9 with advanced-level training (5.20%), 60 with intermediate (34.68%), and 104 with primary-level (60.12%). All delegates were confirmed eligible to attend.

The Congress then heard Dr. Le Tuan Hiep – Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of UFBA Council (2020–2025 term), present the draft Political Report and the self-assessment report of the Party Committee’s Executive Board (2020–2025 term).

The report highlighted that during the 2020–2025 term, the UFBA Party Committee essentially fulfilled its objectives and successfully implemented the Resolution of the 25th Party Congress. The Party Committee comprehensively led and directed all activities of the University, achieving notable results:

  • 157 new Party members admitted, making significant contributions to Party development in Van Lam District.
  • Student admissions met or exceeded targets, with total enrollment reaching 3,500 learners.
  • The University was granted institutional accreditation in 2022.
  • Scientific research increased in both quality and quantity, including 07 ministry/provincial-level projects; 17 textbooks and monographs; 152 institutional-level studies; and 70 teaching materials.
  • Facilities were maintained and modernized, effectively serving teaching and research.
  • Effective implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, linked with Party-building and political system strengthening.
  • Focus on unity, innovation, and improved quality of Party activities at all levels, with strict supervision and discipline enforcement.

Alongside achievements, the report candidly pointed out limitations in leadership and organization, drawing lessons to further enhance the Party’s leadership capacity and combat strength.

The Congress also heard Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Diep – Standing Committee Member, UFBA Vice President, present the summary of opinions contributed to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress. By June 5, 2025, UFBA had gathered input from 192 Party members, with many constructive and insightful contributions reflecting responsibility, faith in the Party’s leadership, and determination to build the nation in the new era.

Within the Congress framework, delegates listened to presentations from grassroots Party cells, focusing on the Party Committee’s leadership in: Training management activities (Nguyen Huy Cuong – Secretary of the Training Department Party Cell), Improving the quality of thematic activities in Party-building (Do Van Dung – Secretary of the Economics & International Business Party Cell), Quality assurance and scientific research activities, among others.

Delivering guidance at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Van Lam District Party Committee praised UFBA’s Party Committee for its achievements during the past term and emphasized key tasks ahead. He urged the Committee to further uphold unity, renew thinking, and be creative in leadership to successfully implement the Resolution of the 26th Congress.

The Congress reached high consensus on the directions, goals, and key solutions for the 2025–2030 term, focusing on improving training quality and striving to become a prestigious higher education institution in finance and economics, providing qualified human resources for the sector and society.

The 26th Congress of the UFBA Party Committee (2025–2030 term) concluded successfully. The Congress called upon all staff and Party members to strengthen solidarity, build upon 60 years of tradition and achievements, seize new opportunities, innovate, and ensure sustainable development of the Party Committee and the University in the new era of national growth.
