The Nguyen Truong To Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2024–2025 Academic Year
On the morning of December 20, 2024, the Vietnam Scholarship Fund (operated by Dân trí Online Newspaper) collaborated with UFBA to award 10 Nguyen Truong To scholarships to outstanding students who have overcome hardships. The total scholarship value amounted to $3,000.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Huy Hoan, former Editor-in-Chief of Dan tri and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund Management Council; Dr. Dao Van Tu, UFBA Vice President and Mr. Bui Van Bang, Director of the Student Support and Business Relations Center, along with the 10 scholarship recipients who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements despite challenges.

During the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Pham Huy Hoan, former Editor-in-Chief of Dan tri and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund Management Council, highlighted the long-standing impact of the Nguyen Truong To Scholarship. Initiated in 1991 by the Vietnam Scholarship Fund in collaboration with Dan tri Online Newspaper and sponsored by the California Health, Education, and Culture Fund (USA), the scholarship has supported millions of students across various universities and colleges in Vietnam who have excelled academically despite financial hardships.
Since the 2021 academic year, students from UFBA have been among the scholarship recipients. By the 2024–2025 academic year, this marks the fourth consecutive year UFBA students have received the award. Each scholarship, valued at $300 (approximately 7,705,000 VND), was granted to 10 students facing economic difficulties but demonstrating outstanding academic achievements.
Mr. Pham Huy Hoan congratulated the scholarship recipients and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence, making the most of the opportunities provided by the university and their professors.
