“Tribute to Workers” Program in Celebration of Workers’ Month 2025

On the morning of April 27, 2025, in collaboration with the Hung Yen Education and Training Union, UFBA organized the “Tribute to Workers” program in celebration of Workers’ Month 2025. The event was held in accordance with Plan No. 75/KH-CĐN (dated April 2, 2025) and Official Dispatch No. 296/CĐN (dated April 11, 2025) of the Hung Yen Education and Training Union, aiming to honor the role of the working class while raising public awareness on protecting the rights and interests of workers.

The program welcomed the presence of key leaders: Mr. Dang Van Dien – Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Ta Quang Long – Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the Federation’s Professional Committee. From the Hung Yen Education and Training Union, attendees included Mr. Tran Dac Vien – Executive Committee Member of the Provincial Labor Federation, Chairman of the Education and Training Union; Mr. Nguyen The Son – Vice Chairman of the Education and Training Union, along with staff, specialists, and representatives from grassroots trade unions across the sector.

Representing the University were Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Party Secretary and UFBA President; Dr. Dao Van Tu –UFBA Vice President; Mr. Do Van Luong – Chairman of UFBA’s Trade Union, together with members of the Executive Board of the University Trade Union.

The highlight of the event was the “Tribute to Workers” program, which included practical activities such as visiting and presenting gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, recognizing those who overcame hardships, and honoring exemplary union members with outstanding initiatives, creativity, and achievements. In addition, the program featured cultural, artistic, and sports activities to improve both the spiritual and material well-being of educators and workers.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dang Van Dien – Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation, emphasized that the Education and Training Union must develop an implementation plan for Workers’ Month 2025 tailored to each unit’s conditions and context. He stressed that care for staff, teachers, and workers must be transparent, fair, and inclusive—ensuring no individual is overlooked or duplicated. Activities should avoid unnecessary formality and instead deliver the greatest practical benefits for workers. He also encouraged grassroots trade unions to intensify their Workers’ Month programs wherever conditions allow, making participation easier for workers.

As part of the program, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates to 30 agencies and units recognized as “Cultural Standard Institutions” for the 2023–2024 period.
