UFBA’s Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022) and Conclusion of 10 years’ Undergraduate Education (2012-2022)

In the joyful nationwide celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th, UFBA held a grand ceremony to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022) and to mark the conclusion of ten years of undergraduate education (2012-2022).

On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc extended his congratulations to the university's faculty, staff, and students. On behalf of the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, read the Minister's congratulatory message.

During the ceremony, Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Party Secretary and UFBA President, expressed his gratitude to Minister Ho Duc Phoc for his message to UFBA. Dr. Nghia extended his heartfelt congratulations to all teachers, administrators, staff, and employees on the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, acknowledging the accomplishments of the 2021-2022 academic year and outlining the core objectives for the 2022-2023 academic year. He also thanked the Ministry of Finance, leaders of Hung Yen province, Van Lam district, and various government departments, agencies, and enterprises for their continued support, encouragement, and contributions to the university. Dr. Nghia expressed appreciation to past and present faculty, administrators, alumni, and parents for their sustained dedication and assistance throughout the university's development.

On this occasion, Dr. Le Tuan Hiep, Vice Party Secretary and Chairman of UFBA Council, presented the "10-Year Report on Undergraduate Education (2012-2022)." The report reviewed the university's gradual establishment, growth in staff and faculty quality, and expansion in training capacity. Over the past decade, the university has steadily grown in scale, fulfilling its role in providing skilled human resources for society, strengthening scientific research, and continually enhancing its educational programs. The university has expanded to seven undergraduate programs aligned with societal needs, regularly evaluating and improving curricula to focus on practical applications and skill development. Undergraduate admissions have adhered to rigorous standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Finance, with diverse assessment formats designed to enhance students' comprehensive knowledge, independent thinking, and research skills.

Building on its achievements and addressing areas for improvement, the university aims to further elevate its undergraduate education standards, focusing on the following directions and objectives: adhering to the policies of the Party and the directives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Training, continuously refining the curriculum, strengthening the development of teaching materials, linking education with scientific research, and enhancing faculty and staff development.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, the university recognized two faculty members with the "Finance Industry Emulation Fighter" award, while 18 faculty members received the "For the Cause of Finance" medal from the Ministry of Finance. These honors recognize the dedication and contributions of the university's faculty to the advancement of the financial sector. Additionally, 45 teachers were awarded the title of "Excellent School-Level Instructor in Pedagogical Skills for 2022."

In the formal atmosphere, student representative Ngo Thi Duong from TM9A expressed gratitude to the faculty, pledging to work hard in academics, self-discipline, and self-improvement to become valuable members of society. She emphasized that this commitment is the most meaningful gift they could give to their teachers, who guide them in the journey of knowledge.
